open your eyes and see something more beautiful

stupid DA. The title is supposed to be as above, but it won't let me have it that long.
Anyway, today i was inside most of the time (except a trip to the old hospital - see my journal), doing physics revision and pointless physics questions. The rest of the family were out. It was raining and to stop this making me feel down (it has a tendency to do so) i closed my blinds (i have sort of venetian ones). I got tired and took a nap and when i woke up i twisted them open expecting to see rain, but instead saw this wonderful sky. It was a great feeling. Anyway that's what i tried to capture here. I focused on the foreground and left the beauty partially obscured on purpose.

There are going to be a few more of these so if sorry if you don't like them. If you like pictures of the sky check out ~6BandBlackInk, he has some great ones.

Wow, I love this one too! I can just imagine the trees swishing around, and of course the blinds are super-cool as well.

That's amazing. You're right, wit's a shame we can't see more things like this. Actually I've begun to just get up and go on random walks about the place when I get sick of work. It's really nice, you should try it.

I really like this. I can say stuff about the way it's done: I like the way the water droplets in the orange area have a tint of blue, and those in the blue are coloured orange. And I like the way the blinds get thinner as they go down, and their solidity helps the picture. But what is most important is that it does say something. You look down and the wind in the trees, the water droplets and the setting sun make you feel sad. Becuase a setting sun is an end to the day, and cold wind and rain aren't exactly nice. But then you look up and everything is brighter, and the drops of water aren't sad because they have light trapped inside them. There's a brighter side to everything.

And then the blinds cut everything into strips. What does that say to me? Well I suppose it goes back to your point; there are a lot of beautiful things out there and we need to go out and see them.
